Hi,
Wondering if any of you have advice on camping up past Vernal Falls in late Spring. I'm a fairly inexperienced camper with lots of experience hiking and running.
I'd like to go up into the area above the falls .
Can you park in the valley floor for a few days/week and pack everything up the trail?
Any thoughts for a first timer that far out?

There's some camping past Nevada Falls, roughly 2 miles past Vernal Falls.
Get a backcountry permit at the Wilderness Center and you're set.
You can keep your car in the backcountry parkinglot at Happy Isles.
